How do I find out if I am eligible?

To be eligible for the 80 – 100% Warmer Kiwi Homes Grants you must meed the following criteria:

  • The home must have been built prior to 2008
  • You need to be a low income homeowner. This will be defined as those who either:

have a Community Services Card or SuperGold Card with CSC endorsement, OR live in a New Zealand Deprivation Index 8, 9 or 10 area, OR
are families referred through the Ministry of Health’s Healthy Homes Initiative.

Why is insulation so important?

More than 500,000 New Zealand homes are estimated to have inadequate or no insulation. As a consequence, they are often cold, damp and expensive to heat and leads to an unhealthy environment for the occupants. Homeowners attempt to fix these problems with heat pumps dehumidifiers and other devices. The best solution is one that first addresses the fundamental problem of the heat escaping. A well – insulated home is warmer, healthier, and more pleasant for families.

What our customers say.

“After seeing a Facebook post which I didn’t think could actually be true, I made one phone call and an appointment was made for an assessor to call. During our meeting he informed me that because we are in a low income area, that the whole situation could be fixed with a grant. The whole process from start to finish was seamless, one phone call made, another phone call, assessor arrives, workers arrive and it’s done.”
